LJohnny Hughes has announced the release of CentOS4.6, a newly updated version of the distribution's legacy 4.x branch:"TheCentOS development team is pleased to announce the release ofCentOS4.6 for i386, x86_64, s390, s390x and ia64. This releasecorresponds tothe upstream vendor 4.6 release. Also released in theupdatesrepository for CentOS 4.6 are all updates through December 15th,2007.Major changes for this version are: Samba has been updated toversion3.0.25b; Autofs5 is included in this release as a TechnologyPreview,it resolves several long-standing interoperability issuesinmulti-vendor environments; there is a technology previewofOpenOffice.org 2.0 included in the updates directory; a newyumincluded in CentOS 4.6 requires the installation of a metadataparserfor yum."
