1. Sr. Linux Software Engineer - 5 headcounts - Beijing
Responsibilities and Details
Description
In this position, you will be building and delivering open source software and Linux* on Intel(R) architecture, initially focusing on Linux enabling for OSVs. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Developing and supporting Linux* OS development
- Working with worldwide Linux* OSVs to ensure timely adoption of Intel's technologies and platforms
- Testing and validating of Linux* OS and other related software on Intel(R) platforms
- Establishing collaborative working relationships with PRC and worldwide Linux* community
Qualifications
You should possess a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with more than four years of experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong background in Linux* system and/or application software development
- Knowledge of open source development models
- Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills
- Verbal and written communication skills (both in Mandarin and English)
2. Senior Linux Integration Engineer
will be responsible for defining, developing and maintaining an automated build environment and installation programs for Intel's smartphone Linux project. Succssful candidate will be responsible to ensure consistent processes, reporting, and testing is being followed. Responsibilities will include but not belimited to:
- Constantly integrating software components and performing daily builds for the smartphone Linux project
- Maintaining a consistent and reliable build environment
- Troubleshooting issues found with the build and working with development engineers to resolve it
- Designing, developing and implementing automated tests
- Working independently with minimum direction in delivering high quality deliverables
- Continuously exploring automation to increase productivity
Qualifications
Familiarity with managing a Linux distro Build system:
* Knowledge of various source control tools including CVS/Subversion, Git and bug tracking system such as Bugzilla
* Ability to troubleshoot/create build scripts.
* Familiarity with Continuous Build Processes. Running builds continuously versus once every N days.
* 3-5 years experience with Linux System Administration
*Possessing a relevant educational qualification, or relevant work experience.
Additional qualifications include:
* Linux System Administration experience in a networked environment
* Bash shell scripting
* Python scripting
* TCP/IP networking

3. The Senior Linux Validaion Engineer - 3 headcounts - Beijing
will be responsible for leading the software testing of Intel's smartphone Linux project. Succssful candidate will be responsible to plan, define, develop and execute software test plans / test cases as well as constantly improve the test automation system. Responsibilities will include but not belimited to:
- Working closely with the development team to scope and plan for the validation tasks
- Define and develop test plans
- Develop test cases for variant Linux software components as well as the whole product system
- Bug tracking and communication with developpers
- Troubleshooting issues found and working with development engineers to resolve it
- Designing, developing and implementing automated tests and continuously exploring automation to increase productivity
Qualifications
* Familiarity with software testing process and Linux operation system:
* Experienced in C and script programming
* Wide experience with debugging builds and components of modern distributions (i.e. live CD development and deployment, gentoo, etc.)
* Ability to troubleshoot/create automated test cases with script languages such as Bash script, Python.
* 3-5 years experience with sofware testing

Qualifications

Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) in PRC Embedded Sales Group (ESG) to support Intel LAN Access Division products. Description
The Server performance analysis group in System software division within SSG is looking for a Performance Engineer to conduct experiments on virtualized server platforms. In this position, you will be responsible for running server workloads (for example, Citrix, SAP, SpecJBB, SysBench) on a variety of VMMs from VMware, Xen and Microsoft, all on DP and MP hardware systems. Statistics gathered off the platform will be analyzed for sources of performance bottlenecks (memory and I/O bandwidth, memory latency) and used to influence the architecture and algorithms used in the VMMs, future generations of Intel's VT technology, and provide competitive collateral. Results will be captured in white papers and distributed externally to the group.
Qualifications
You should possess a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with more than two years experience; or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with more than four years experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Solid understanding of computer architecture and server platform hardware
- Ability to drive action across Intel groups and within the industry
